Monitoring dashboard - Bird's-eye view of HANA system's health and functioning. This dashboard visualizes key HANA Metrics of SAP HANA system.
Requirement : You want to check HANA system health using HANA Monitoring dashboards.
Prerequisite : You need database user with predefined role - sap.hana.admin.roles::Monitoring assigned.

Steps :
- Connect to the required system via HANA Studio
- Open Administration perspective, You can open it from Window > Open > Perspective > Administration Console
- In Administration perspective ,open the context menu(shown below) and select "Open Dashboard"
This will open the dashboard as shown below.
By default HANA Monitoring dashboard shows following key metrics
System status

Indicator of overall system health.The
following statuses are possible:
For
multiple-host systems, the status of individual worker hosts is also
indicated.

Alerts
|
Number of current high- and medium-priority alerts in the
system
|
Used memory
|
Total amount of memory currently used by the SAP HANA database
in relation to the allocation limit
For
multiple-host systems, values are aggregated across all worker hosts. The
host with the highest (most critical) memory usage is also shown.
The
bars indicating memory usage change color (gray, orange, and red) based on
the thresholds of check 1.

CPU usage
|
Percentage of CPU currently used by the SAP HANA database
compared with the operating system as a whole
For
multiple-host systems, values are aggregated across all worker hosts. The
host with the highest (most critical) CPU usage is also shown.
The

thresholds of check 5.

Disk usage
|
Indicator of disk usage on disks by data, log, and trace files
belonging to the SAP HANA database

System restarts
|
Number of services that have been manually or automatically
restarted

Query load
|
Number of current blocked transactions in the system, as well
as expensive statements recorded by the expensive statements trace

Active sessions
|
Number of current running and idle sessions in the system
|
Running jobs
|
Number of jobs currently in progress
|
Backups
|
Current status of data and log backups
|
Number of dumps
|
Number of dump files in the system's trace directory
|
System replication status
|
System replication status, if configured
|
General system information
|
System version, time of last upgrade, and hardware information
